Or we cut the apple in two halfs, and if you see the star, you will be lucky next year and plenty of another habits I like. Aound six p.m. we have traditional dinner - fish soup and then a carp with the potato salat and sometimes a desert. We hide a carp scale under the plate and then we put in in our wallet to have money next year. We also prepare one more dish then the number of members of family is. After the dinner, the bell rings - that announces Little Jesus has already hidden the presents under the tree. We go and spread the presents to everybody. We listen to the carols and then we go to sleep. Sometimes we go to the church too, but not every year. That's what the Christmas is at least in our family

I've read your description. I'm stunned, because I've never imagined that in Czech republic Christmas is celebrated on the 24th december...but maybe you meant it's the Christmas eve, isn't it? o.O
Then, what is the history about the golden pig?
While for the carps'scale... oh well, if you really keep them in wallets, I guess they'll start to smell...*___* but probably I'm wrong ^^"

Well, I think it's nothing bad about pigs - not just that, it's good to see the golden pig! But honestly, I kept the not eating this Christmas and I didnt see it
And for the carp's scale. I had several times a scale in my wallet and I never notice any smell.. So probably we were lucky
And no apologises I'm happy that somebody is interested ^^ What are your Christmas like, btw? ^^
